Fostering Future inc is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth aging out of the foster care system by providing resources, mentorship, and advocacy to help them transition successfully into adulthood.

 

Growing up in foster care shapes you. Constant transitions can leave you feeling ungrounded, and once you turn 18, you're often pushed out into the world with no direction. Many foster youth don’t know where to go, how to find housing, what support is available, or who to turn to. Some are fortunate to have mentors or foster parents who help them navigate through adulthood—but far too many are left to figure it out alone.

We know this because we’ve lived it.

As someone who grew up in foster care, I’ve seen what happens when youth age out of the system without support—and what’s possible when someone shows up and helps guide the way. That’s why this organization exists: to be that bridge, that guide, and that support system for youth transitioning into adulthood.

We focus on helping young people ages 18–25 who are aging out of foster care by connecting them to life-changing resources, including:

• Safe and stable housing
   

• Education pathways (college, GED programs, trade schools)
   

• Job placement and career development
   

• Therapy and mental health resources
   

• Mentorship and life coaching
   

• Community events where youth can connect, heal, and be heard
